SCORM Tracking & Activity Reports

This feature is available to users with the Reporter, Course Manager, or Full administrator role. See Roles

IngenuitiLMS captures detailed runtime interaction data for SCORM e-learning packages (SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004). You can review activity-level completion and export raw SCORM tracking metrics (CMI data) for in-depth analysis.

Activity Completion Reports

To view completion for an individual activity:

  1. From the course details page, locate the activity in the activities list.
  2. Click the Reports icon for that activity.
  3. The report displays all learners who have launched or completed the activity, the specific content version they were tracked against, and their best score.

Raw SCORM Tracking Export

For SCORM activities, you can download a complete, granular export of every data element reported by the e-learning package during learner attempts.

How to Download Raw SCORM Data:

  1. Navigate to the SCORM activity's reporting page.
  2. Click Download Raw SCORM Data (CSV/Excel).
  3. The system will compile all learner attempt records for that SCORM package into a downloadable spreadsheet.

Dynamic CMI Columns Included:

Because different SCORM authoring tools report different runtime variables, the export dynamically generates columns from the actual data captured, including:

  • cmi.core.lesson_status / cmi.completion_status: Completion status of the module.
  • cmi.core.score.raw / cmi.score.scaled: Scaled and raw exam/quiz scores.
  • cmi.core.lesson_location: Furthest slide or section reached by the learner.
  • cmi.core.total_time / cmi.total_time: Cumulative time spent in the module.
  • cmi.suspend_data: State data used by the package to resume learner sessions.

Attempt Data Only

The raw SCORM export includes only learners who have launched the activity and recorded at least one attempt. Learners who are assigned but have not yet launched the package appear in the general Course Completion Report as "New".

Troubleshooting Learner Issues

Raw SCORM exports are especially helpful for verifying whether a learner completed all required slides or passed embedded quiz questions within an e-learning package.
