Learning Path Enrollment

This feature is available to users with the Course Manager role. See Roles

Enrolling learners into a learning path ensures that the curriculum appears in their Required Courses dashboard section and triggers assignment notifications when published.

You can enroll learners into a learning path through two methods: Direct Learner Assignment or Group-Based Enrollment.

Method 1: Direct Learner Assignment

Direct assignment allows you to enroll individual learners and optionally specify custom due dates.

  • Step 1 - Open Learning Path Details

    Navigate to Learning Paths, click View Details on the target learning path, and select the Learners / Enrollment tab.

  • Step 2 - Select Learners

    Click + Assign Learners. Search or filter through active users, and check the boxes next to the learners you wish to enroll.

  • Step 3 - Set Due Dates & Timeline

    Optionally choose a custom completion timeline or set a specific calendar due date for the selected batch of learners.

  • Step 4 - Confirm Assignment

    Click Assign. Enrolled learners will receive an email or SMS notification if the learning path is currently published.

Method 2: Group-Based Enrollment

Group-based enrollment links an entire user group to the learning path.

  • Step 1 - Link a Group

    From the learning path's enrollment tab, click + Link Group.

  • Step 2 - Select Groups and Enrollment Options

    Select one or more user groups to link. Choose whether to immediately enroll existing members of the selected groups.

  • Step 3 - Unlinking and Removal Rules

    When unlinking a group from a learning path in the future, you can choose between: - Unlink only: Retains individual learner enrollments and their progress history. - Unlink and unassign: Removes the learning path assignment for all members of that group who are not enrolled through another group.

Course Auto-Assignment

When a learner opens a course from an enrolled learning path, they are granted access automatically even if the member course is marked as "Requires assignment."

Due Date Reminders

Learners assigned to a learning path with a due date will receive an automated deadline reminder email one week prior to the due date if the curriculum remains incomplete.
