Course details

This feature is available to users with the Course Manager role. See Roles

The course details page, allows administrators to manage the course's content, settings, and associated activities.

Terminology

Course refers to a structured program or series of activities designed to teach learners about a particular subject or skill.

Activity refers to a single interactive learning element. Learn more about creating activities and activity types.

From the course details page, you will be able to:

  • View Course Status

    Shows whether the course is published or in draft status. This section also allows administrators to update the status.

  • Course Information

    This section displays and allows updates of the core course details, including title, description, completion timeline, and others.

    Tip

    Enforce sequence determines whether the activities within a course must be completed in the provided order.

    Required assignment determines whether users must be assigned to the course to access it. Courses with the required assignment flag turned off will show as optional for all learners.

  • Course Activities

    This section provides a list of available activities for the course and buttons to manage course learners, add new activities, and accessing trashed activities.

    The list of activities includes the core information for each activity, including status, latest version, number of versions, and links to activity actions, like update, preview, change status, and deletion.

  • Linked groups

    This section allows courses and groups to be linked and automate learner enrollment. Linked groups provide an easy and efficient way to manage course assignments based on a user's group membership.

Inactive activities

Activities with the Inactive status will not be accessible to learners.
